Public Works
Overview
The Public Works Department is responsible for the improvement and maintenance of the Town's infrastructure, and oversees the Stormwater Division for the Town.
Responsibilities
The Public Works Department provides for the design, construction, management and maintenance of the Town's infrastructure, including streets, landscaping, sidewalks and storm drains. In addition, the Public Works Department manages community volunteer programs for beautification and clean-up projects.
The permitting section reviews and issues permits including paving and drainage, driveway approach, and utility plans, through the Building Department. The department also assists with information or questions regarding street signs, street lights, and flood maps.
The Public Works Department strives to provide top-quality, professional, effective, and timely service to residents, businesses and internal customers. Staff focuses on customer service and satisfaction, by improving the Town's image and maintaining the community’s trust. The department goals are: safety, training, beautification, quality control and productivity.
