Town of Cutler Bay Celebrates the Inauguration of Vice Mayor Michael P. Callahan and Councilmember Suzy Lord
Cutler Bay, FL – November 20, 2024 – The Town of Cutler Bay proudly hosted an Inauguration Ceremony to honor the re-elected Vice Mayor Michael P. Callahan and Councilmember Suzy Lord (Seat 2) for their continued dedication to serving our community. Surrounded by family, friends, and community leaders, both officials reaffirmed their commitment to upholding the values and vision of Cutler Bay during their respective oath ceremonies.
During the ceremony, Vice Mayor Callahan reflected on the core principles guiding his public service: community, honor, and family. "Tonight, I’m reminded of the strong foundation that makes Cutler Bay unique. From our humble beginnings to a thriving town of nearly 50,000 residents, I’m committed to upholding the values of trust, dedication, and passion that define us," Vice Mayor Callahan said. "I’m deeply grateful to the residents who continue to place their trust in me, and I look forward to serving our community over the next four years."
Councilmember Suzy Lord, marking the start of her second term, expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to continue serving. "This is a dream come true, and I couldn’t have done it without the love and support of my family, friends, and the incredible residents of Cutler Bay," Councilmember Lord shared. "I’m proud of what we’ve accomplished together and excited to keep working to make our town shine bright."
Former Vice Mayor Sue Loyzelle had the honor of administering the oath of office to Vice Mayor Callahan, symbolizing the strength of leadership continuity and shared values within the community.
Mayor Tim Meerbott celebrated the re-election of his colleagues, highlighting their unwavering passion and dedication.
