Hurricane Preparedness & the Impact of COVID-19 Virtual Meeting
Hurricane season is here and experts predict it will be an above average season.
We invite you to attend the Hurricane Preparedness Virtual Meeting hosted by the Cutler Bay Business Association via Zoom on Thursday, June 11, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Although the meeting is geared for local business owners, many topics will be discussed that are important for all residents.
Guest speakers for the meeting include Stanley Goldenberg, Meteorologist, Hurricane Research Division at AOMI/NOAA; Steve Detwiler, Planning Director for Miami-Dade County Emergency Management; as well as our Town Manager, Rafael Casals and Public Works Director Alfredo Quintero.\
Family & Friends Bicycle Ride for Justice
Tomorrow, June 6, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. State Representative Kionne McGhee, County Commissioner Dennis Moss and the 305 Urban Bike Club are sponsoring the Family & Friends Bicycle Ride for Justice.
The 5.2 mile bike ride aims to join 1,000 bike riders—all while observing social distancing and wearing masks—to come together in a show of unity. This is not a protest, but a family event.
The route will start and end at the South Dade Justice Center (10710 SW 211 Street).
