Coastal Ridge Preserve, an 8.43-acre property in the Town of Cutler Bay, was acquired in 2020 to safeguard its environmental significance and enhance the Town’s resiliency efforts. Adjacent to the Biscayne Bay Coastal Wetlands, the preserve serves as a natural buffer against sea-level rise and plays a crucial role in protecting the community from storms. This acquisition, part of the Comprehensive Everglades Restoration Project, represents the Town’s commitment to preserving open spaces and preventing future development, ensuring long-term environmental sustainability.
