TPO Meeting to Review SW 87 Avenue Bridge Item on March 18, 2021 Meeting at 2 PM
Update on the TPO March 18 Meeting:
The Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization Governing Board has voted YES to build the bridge on SW 87 Avenue from SW 164 Street to SW 163 Terrace. Construction and next steps will now be handled by the County and we will keep you posted on any updates.
A meeting of the Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) Governing Board, in its role as the Metropolitan Planning Organization, is scheduled to be held on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 2:00 PM in the TPO Governing Board Chambers, located on the nineteenth floor of the Museum Tower Building, 150 West Flagler Street, Suite 1924, Miami Florida 33130.
Regarding Agenda Item 6A1 (SW 87th Avenue Proposed Bridge)
On March 10, the Miami-Dade Transportation Planning Organization's (TPO) Transportation Mobility Committee met to discuss various items, which included a resolution to approve amendments to the 2045 Long Range Transportation Improvement Program to include in priority 1 of the Plan the Construction of a new bridge along SW 87th Avenue over Canal C-100 (between SW 164 St and SW 163 Ter).
The item passed unanimously and will be heard by the full TPO Governing Board during the Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 2 PM.
