Town of Cutler Bay Honors Encompass Health with Proclamation for National Rehabilitation Awareness Week

September 18, 2024 - Cutler Bay, FL – In celebration of National Rehabilitation Awareness Week, the Town of Cutler Bay proudly presented a proclamation to Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Miami on September 18, 2024. Mayor Tim Meerbott, along with the Town Council, joined the leadership team at Encompass Health for a special tour of the facility, recognizing the critical role rehabilitative services play in restoring the quality of life for individuals with disabilities.

National Rehabilitation Awareness Week, sponsored by the National Rehabilitation Awareness Foundation, is observed every September to educate the public about the benefits of rehabilitation and to promote greater opportunities for the nearly 50 million Americans living with disabilities.

“Rehabilitation services empower individuals to regain their independence, productivity, and dignity,” said Mayor Tim Meerbott during the proclamation ceremony. “We are fortunate to have Encompass Health right here in Cutler Bay, providing essential, first-class care to those in need.”
