Rental Assistance and Tenants' Bill of Rights

Yesterday, Mayor Meerbott joined County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and the Mayors of 30 municipalities in Miami-Dade County to address our local affordability crisis and to discuss possible solutions.
Just last month, Mayor Levine Cava declared a countywide affordability crisis and released an executive directive to critical county staff to accelerate solutions for residents.
RENTAL ASSISTANCE
One of the initiatives for this issue was to direct more funds to the County's Emergency Rental Assistance Program, which provides rental assistance to qualifying residents. Residents may apply and learn more about this program at: miamidade.gov/rentrelief
TENANTS BILL OF RIGHTS
Additionally, on May 11, the County signed into effect The Tenant's Bill of Rights—a critical protection for County residents that helps tenants and landlords alike to understand their rights and options. Residents who need assistance can request it by one of the following ways:
