COVID-19 Update: Parks, Beaches, Facilities Close; Non-Essential Businesses Must Close; and Useful Information for Business Owners

Miami-Dade County Orders Parks, Beaches, Facilities to Close

As ordered by Miami-Dade County, all parks, beaches and recreational facilities in the incorporated and unincorporated areas of Miami-Dade County were ordered closed today, March 19, at 9 a.m. until further notice. The order applies to both publicly-owned and privately-owned parks, beaches and recreational facilities.

Non-Essential Businesses Ordered to Close

Effective 9 p.m. tonight, March 19, all non-essential retail and commercial establishments have been ordered to close. Groceries, Pharmacies, Banks, Gas, Restaurant Kitchens, Doctors and Dentists office, among many other businesses may remain open.

  • Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program:The Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program is currently available to small business owners located in all Florida counties statewide that experienced economic damage as a result of COVID-19
  • U.S. Small Business Administration Disaster Assistance for COVID-19: The SBA is offering designated states (Florida is included) and territories low-interest federal disaster loans for working capital to small businesses suffering substantial economic injury as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19)
  • Local Business Chambers and Associations in Town and Dade County:
