We are applying for a Federal Fiscal Year 2018 Small Cities Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) of up to $750,000. On Wednesday, March 27, the Town held the first public hearing where the following potentially eligible projects were discussed:
Drainage Improvement: Cutler Ridge Section 3: The goal of this project is to reduce flooding and improve pedestrian safety in the residential community near Gulfstream Elementary School.
Community Facilities at Franjo Park: The goal of this project is to restore the community room, concession stand, and restroom facilities at Franjo Park.
Home Repair Assistance for Low-Income Households: The goal of this project is to provide financial assistance to homeowners that meet income eligibility requirements with home repairs and improvements (i.e. code compliance, ADA improvements).
A Final Public Hearing to discuss the selected project will be on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Community Room.
