UPDATE: UPCOMING FRANJO ROAD DETOUR IN PALMETTO BAY

The Village of Palmetto Bay sent out an updated announcement regarding the Franjo Road construction project. Beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, February 13, 2019, Franjo Road will be closed from SW 184 Street to SW 180 Street (local traffic only). This is part of an ongoing redevelopment project within Palmetto Bay. Detour routes will go through SW 180th St - 94th Ave - SW 184th St.

The Franjo Road Project includes new roadways construction (178 Street, 179 Street and Park Drive), roadways reconstruction (Franjo Road and 180 Street), drainage lines, waterlines, sewer lines, hardscape, landscape, irrigation, undergrounding of utilities, state of the art light poles, sidewalks, bike lanes, signage and pavement markings.

Construction activities will have an impact on daily operations and residents are advised to plan for some delays in travel. An approximate date of completion has not been announced.
