Press Release - Neat Streets Miami Awards Town the Street Tree Matching Grant to Double the Green on Miami-Dade County Streets
In an effort to expand Miami-Dade County’s tree canopy by leveraging local resources, Neat Streets Miami awarded the Town of Cutler Bay a Street Tree Matching Grant for its Cutler Bay Street Tree Reforestation Project in the amount of $14,500 to plant 35 Live Oak Trees. In its third year, Neat Streets Miami’s street tree program awarded 14 organizations matching grants to advance the Million Trees Miami initiative, a community-wide effort to reach a million trees by 2020.

Launched by Neat Streets Miami, the Million Trees Miami Campaign is a community-wide effort to plant one million trees by 2020 in order to achieve a 30 percent tree canopy cover for Miami-Dade County.
