Hurricane Irma Permit Fee Reduction

                                            HURRICANE IRMA PERMIT FEE REDUCTION

This is a friendly reminder from The Town of Cutler Bay to all of our residents who suffered property damages by Hurricane Irma and need permits to rebuild.

The Town of Cutler Bay is assisting residents affected by Hurricane Irma by reducing permitting fees and expediting the permit review process.

The Town Council adopted Resolution 17-81 reducing permitting fees for storm related repairs at the September 28, 2017 Council Meeting. Permitting fees have been temporarily reduced by 65% for storm related repair work for permit applications received from September 18, 2017 - December 31, 2017.

Please apply for your storm related permits before December 31, 2017 to take advantage of the reduced permit fees.

Permits for storm related repairs include:

•   Fence repair/replacement
•   Structural roof repairs/replacement
•   Existing shed replacement
•   Structural repairs/replacement of existing carports
•   Structural repairs/replacement of existing screen enclosures
•   Structural repairs/replacement of windows and doors
•   Other minor repairs requiring a permit caused by Hurricane Irma


All  permit  types  require  a  completed  Permit  application  and  two  (2)  sets  of  the documentation listed below.


•  Survey or site plan showing location, height, linear footage, gates, and type of material being used (wood, aluminum, etc.)
•   Fence design detail


•   Notice of Acceptance
•   Roofing Package – High Velocity Hurricane Zone Uniform Permit Application
•   Proof of Insurance Claim

Window & Door Replacement:

• Floor plan of building showing all openings of building with dimensions and the openings being retrofitted clearly marked
•   Product approvals
•   Proof of Insurance Claim


•   Survey or site plan showing location of the shed
•   Product approvals
